The story to the painting is our own one, which is portrayed to mankind as a chess game of the gods. Therefore also a unicorn and not a simple horse. This is a game, where the characters live and have the power themselves over the decision of their train, which is passively observed by the gods from the outside and they just put their hopes into the game characters-into us, the life game. As you can see in the painting, we have failed, the playground shatters and the God has to intervene, dishonored, to save the unicorn from falling, which represents us.
Important to note is that in the real chess, the horse is the only character that can skip all the figures, therefore i choose the horse to stand for the attitude of mankind, which puts it’s self over everything and everyone without any rule-but at some point the moment will come, where we shatter ourselves. That's what the broken board is showing-not more than the earth-our playground.
But is it too late?! I still believe in humanity-a moment where the angels come and throw us the key, the solution. But what is the solution?! Are we so smart to grab the key before it's too late?
The Queen, on the other side, tries to impossibly hide herself and the apple - her sins, under a transparent tissue. It represents our sins in the world that each of us carries with them, well it wants to show that even kings sins-because we are all equal and our all actions carry their consequences.
By the way with a little fantasy, there is a face hidden... I inspired the unicorns body on a huge nose, right under it you’ll find the lips, the wings are the eyes, and on the queen the transparent tissue is an ear und the apple is an earring.

How heavy is the weight
on your shoulders?
“I see your beauty every day,
Because you’re here in everyway
But seeing you doesn’t mean feeling you
So I know, the best thing you could do
Is to show us what words can’t say
That you’re hurt, with desasters,
it seems the only way
So perfect as we could never be,
Look at the sky, that reflects in the sea
Maybe something that we do not always see
But there you are, strong as a tree
Lot’s of feelings
There are too many meanings
So many fears
But remember, hope is born from tears
Sun goes down, moon comes up
Do we ever think about,
where the water comes from in our cup?
Suffering as she is every day
She doesn’t loose faith
and lifts her leafy hands to pray
When trees doesn’t give more any apple
Well imagine, what I say is just an example
Would we work for her as hard as a bee?
Think about it, take seconds - one, two, three
To see every year the spring
And hear while waking up a bird singing
So your roots are dying
But just some water you need for living
So people, listen: everyday is Mother’s day
Share some love, give care
That we have just one earth,
There is nothing more to say”

Hello my name is Salvatore Scimonetti I’m 27. I’m an italian surrealist & poet: well I didn’t graduate in art or anything that provs my knowledge or habilities about painting. But I’m blessed with talent, imagination & dedication, even my hand was broken twice. I speek 5 languages, grew up in Switzerland and after a 2 years inspiration art-trip through BrasiI came back home. I have been learning from great and important Artists like Sandro Donatello Teixeira and Kevin Couto. *I even had the opportunity to present my artworks on Brazilian Television “Globo” and in many global Journals. I want to share my thoughts with you and inspire your heart to new connections. I hope you enjoy my unique art and continue following my progress on instagram.
Colored regards Salvatore
